Gavin Bridges was born in 1998 in Covington, Louisiana, and ever since he was a child he has wanted to be an artist. He has attended Louisiana State University at Alexandria and earned a Bachelor’s Degree of General Studies with Concentration in Visual Arts and minored in Psychology. He also became the President of the Art League and a member of the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Advisory Council During his years at college.
Gavin is very passionate about equal rights and acceptance. When asked about what drew him to his university major, he said, “The want to help people and inspire people to create art. Art is a huge part of everyday life and it is a way to free your mind of the struggles of the day to day. When I create, I create for the moment.”
