United Way of Central Louisiana Venture Fund
Thank you for your interest in the United Way of Central Louisiana’s (UWCL) Venture Fund. This is an exciting opportunity for new partners who are seeking seed funding to initiate innovative, community-based projects.
If you are interested in applying to receive Venture funding, please complete the short application following this introductory letter. Applications will be received at any time; however, all applications will be reviewed only on a quarterly basis. Below are the quarterly dates when Venture Fund applications will be reviewed:
- March 1st
- June 1st
- September 1st
- December 1st
Please allow 30 days after the quarterly deadline for your applications to be reviewed. Funding is limited, and Venture Fund projects will not be funded beyond $1,000.
Be sure to be specific about how the funds will be used. If they are to help purchase something, what? All projects must be completed within one year after the grant is awarded. Venture Fund recipients are required to submit both an interim and final report detailing the progress and outcomes of their funded projects. Interim reports are due no later than 6 months after the applicant receives payment. Final reports are due no later than 12 months after receiving payment; they must include receipts for any purchases made with the funds. Specific reporting requirements will be shared to Venture Fund recipients when funds are distributed.
This fund is open to applicants in eight parishes: Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides, Vernon, and Winn.
